Phl Embassy to Pinoys in Yemen: Restrict non-essential movement and avoid public places

PASAY CITY, 3 Sept. (PIA)--The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh would like to reiterates its advise to all Filipino nationals in Yemen to restrict non-essential movement and avoid public places.

Yemen remains under Alert Level 2 (Restriction Phase) due to continued political and security tensions in the country.

In a statement, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said, the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh continues to monitor the situation in Yemen and will provide further advisories to the Filipino community as may be necessary.

Under Alert Level 2, Filipinos with existing labor contracts may return to Yemen. However, the deployment of newly-hired overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) will remain suspended.

The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh also urges Filipinos in all cities and regions of Yemen to update their registration with the Embassy, or if they have not registered in the past, by accomplishing the registration form on the website of the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh www.philembassy-riyadh.org.
