PASIG CITY, (PIA) -- The Marikina City Government is planning to develop the Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center (ARMMC) into a COVID-19 facility.
Marikina Mayor Marcelino Teodoro recently presented and discussed with Department of Health (DOH) Undersecretary Leopoldo Vega and DOH Metro Manila Center for Health and Development Regional Director Gloria Balboa the city government’s plan to develop said hospital into a COVID-19 facility.
According to the city government, the plan to develop said hospital is due to the usufruct agreement of the ARMMC that has already ended.
Mayor Marcy said that the city government is planning to build an 8-storey building with a complete system to include data management, administration among others.
The local chief executive also noted that it’s time to realize said project since it will not only benefit residents of Marikina City but also nearby areas like San Mateo, Montalban, Antipolo, and Pasig City. (DOH-MMCHD/PIA NCR)
