DOTr chief instructs MRT-3 to extend operating hours

QUEZON CITY, (PIA) — Good news! The Department of Transportation (DOTr) will extend MRT-3’s night service operations.

This, followed Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon’s inspection during rush hour on Monday at the MRT-3 to check on the condition of train commuters.

Dizon instructed the MRT-3 to extend its night service operations by at least one (1) hour. The transport chief likewise directed the MRT-3 to deploy additional trains during peak hours.

The MRT-3 operates from Monday to Sunday during the following revenue hours:

From North Avenue Station

*First Trip: 4:30 AM

*Last Trip: 9:30 PM

From Taft Avenue Station

*First Trip: 5:05 AM

*Last Trip: 10:09 PM
