COA official tops fraud examination

QUEZON CITY, May 23 (PIA) -- An official of the Commission on Audit (COA) topped a fraud examination given by the largest anti -fraud organization in the world. 

Lawyer Alexander B. Juliano, COA's Fraud Audit Office director, bested other examinees from other countries in the Certified Fraud Examiners (CFE) Examination organized by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), a premier provider of anti-fraud training and education. 

The CFE examination focuses on proficiency and competence in the four primary areas of fraud examination comprising of: Financial Transactions and Fraud Schemes, Law, Investigation, and Fraud Prevention and Deterrence. 

For topping the CFE, Juliano will receive the Walker Award, a recognition bestowed upon the person receiving the highest annual score on the Certified Fraud Examiners (CFE) Examination, during the 24th Annual ACFE Global Fraud Conference in Las Vegas , Nevada , USA set on June 23-28, 2013. 

ACFE has 65,000 members who are experts in the field of fraud prevention, detection and deterrence that have made a contribution in reducing fraud worldwide. (COA/RJB/MAPA/PIA-NCR)
