Application for Police Executive Service exam ends on July 31 – NAPOLCOM

QUEZON CITY, 2 July (PIA) - The National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) has announced that the filing of applications for the Police Executive Service Eligibility (PESE) written examination for Police Commissioned Officers of the Philippine National Police (PNP) will be until July 31, 2014.

“The PESE, which has two phases – Written Examination and Panel Interview, contains analytical questions on police leadership and police values in order to get the best future leaders or the cream of the crop in the police service,” NAPOLCOM Vice-Chairman and Executive Officer Eduardo U. Escueta said.

He added that the PESE is an eligibility requirement for promotion to the third level ranks of Police Senior Superintendent, Police Chief Superintendent, Police Director, Police Deputy Director General and Police Director General.

The PESE written examination focuses on six categories: job knowledge, leadership competency, communication skills, analytical/logical reasoning, values and emotional quotient.

Passers of the written exams will be eligible to take the second phase which shall be announced later after the release of the results.

Application forms and index cards can be obtained for free at the NAPOLCOM Central Office or at any NAPOLCOM Regional Office nationwide. Forms can also be downloaded at the NAPOLCOM website www.napolcom.gov.ph. Examination fee is Php 700.00.

Meanwhile, NAPOLCOM reminds qualified applicants to file their application forms personally or send by mail to any of the 17 NAPOLCOM Regional Offices nationwide.

They must bring the following documents: properly accomplished Written Examination Form and index card; three pieces latest identical I.D. pictures (one 1 x 1 size and two passport size) with full name tag that includes the First Name, Middle Initial and Surname taken within three months before the date of filing of the application. Pictures that are scanned, photocopied or computer enhanced will not be accepted; two legal size window envelopes with Php 9.00 worth of mailing stamp for NCR applicants and Php 12.00 for Cebu and Davao applicants affixed on each envelope; and copy of attested appointment (KSS Porma Bldg. 33).
