PASIG CITY, (PIA) -- The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TEDA) through the TESDA PaMaMariSan Training and Assessment Center (TPTAC) recently provided livelihood skills training to persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The TESDA PaMaMariSan under the leadership of District Director Rosalinda Talavera, in response to the 17-point Technical and Vocational Educational and Training (TVET) Reform and Development Agenda, commits to provide livelihood skills training program for both male and female PDLs of San Juan City Jail. Five batches of PDLs will undergo said skills training program.
According to TESDA, the trainees will be required to produce 750 pieces of facemasks at the end of the training program.
The face masks that will be produced by PDLs will also be donated to facility personnel and to frontliners.
Likewise, the produced facemasks of PDLs will also serve as a potential business for them especially in this time of pandemic. (TESDA NCR/PIA-NCR)
