Pasig to celebrate “441st Araw ng Pasig;” traffic to be rerouted

PASIG CITY, 1 July (PIA) – In celebration of the 441st Araw ng Pasig, the city government of Pasig through its Traffic and Parking Management Office (TPMO) will reroute traffic on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at C. Raymundo Ave. (from Mercedez Ave. up to Stella Marris St.).

According to Pasig’s TPMO, traffic rerouting on July 2 at 7:00 AM (start of the parade) will be along C. Raymundo Avenue (both direction, from Mercedez Ave. up to Stella Maris St., Caruncho Ave. (Eastbound direction) in front of Pasig City Hall, Rotonda, A. Mabini St., and Dr. Sixto Ave. (Caniogan).

All vehicles from Rotonda going to Pasig Mega Market will be diverted to C-5 Road then right to Eagle St., right to Dr. Sixto Antonio Ave., left to Stella Maris St., left to C. Raymundo Ave., right to F. Legaspi St., right to Market Ave., to destination. While vehicles from Dr. Sixto Antonio Ave. (Maybunga and Rosario) going to Rotonda will be diverted to Eagle St., then right to C-5 Road, U-turn at IPI, to destination.

For vehicles from San Joaquin going to Pasig Mega Market, take Elisco Road, left to M. Jimenez St., left to F. Antonio St., right to F. Manalo St., to destination or take R. Jabson St., right to G. Raymundo St., left to F. Manalo St. to destination.

Likewise, vehicles from Pasig Mega Market going to Rotonda may take F. Manalo St., left to Angeles St., left to C. Raymundo Ave., to destination or take Market Ave., left to Mercedez Ave., left to C. Raymundo Ave., to destination.

Vehicles from Pasig Mega Market going to San Joaquin can take Balderrama St., right to F. Antonio St., left to Pio Alvarez St., right to Elisco Road to destination.

Meanwhile, motorists and the public are advised to expect heavy traffic on the following roads to give way to the civic parade: Caruncho Ave. (Eastbound direction); M.H. del Pilar St. (Brgy. San Nicolas); Dr. Sixto Antonio Ave. (Brgy. Kapasigan); Rotonda Junction; A. Mabini St. (Brgy. Kapasigan); Plaza Rizal Intersection; C. Raymundo Ave. (both direction) from Mercedez Ave. up to Stella Maris St.; P. Burgos St.; Dr. Garcia St.; R. Jabson St.; and along Mercedez Ave. (both direction) from Market Ave. up to C.
