MANILA, 24 March (PIA) – To encourage local and foreign tourists to participate in various activities and events in the country, the Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) will issue Visit Philippines 2015 special stamps on Wednesday, March 25.
“The Visit Philippines 2015 special stamps will be issued to boost the current campaign of the Department of Tourism to awaken international interest on various destinations and attractions in the country,” Postmaster General Josie Dela Cruz said.
According to PHLPost, the stamp features the official logo with the Visit the Philippines year 2015 at the background. The campaign also aims to increase and sustain the ongoing Philippine tourism slogan, “It’s More Fun in the Philippines.”
PHLPost will circulate around 39,850 copies of the special Visit Philippines 2015 stamps, printed by Amstar Inc. using imported unwatermarked paper. Each stamp will be sold at P10.00.
The stamp measures 25mm x 50mm and was laid out by in-house artist, Victorino Serevo. The stamps and souvenir sheet will be available starting March 25, 2015 at all PHLPost post shops nationwide. For inquiries, please call (02) 527-0132. (PHLPOST/RJB/JEG/PIA-NCR)
