Taguig preps up activities for 428th founding anniversary

TAGUIG CITY, 22 April (PIA) – In celebration of its 428th founding anniversary, the city government of Taguig has lined up various activities that will coincide with its anniversary celebration on Saturday, April 25, 2015.

The Mutya ng Taguig beauty pageant, a showcase of the beauty of Taguigeñas will be held on April 22.

Mayor Lani Cayetano said the Mutya ng Taguig pageant is organized in search for a new ambassador of beauty and goodwill for the city. Coronation night will be held at the Hagonoy Gym.

The Lipad Lipunang Maunlad - a kite competition will be also held on May 2 in Napindan where various kite flyers will once again brighten up the sky with their self-designed kites.

Meanwhile, Mayor Cayetano also officiated the Kasalang Bayan with 150 couples who sanctified their marriage vows. (TAGUIG/RJB/JEG/PIA-NCR)
