MANILA, 10 November (PIA) – In honor of the Philippines’ hosting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders’ Meeting on November 18-19, 2015, the Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) will release today the APEC 2015 special stamp.
The special stamp features the official APEC logo and the words “APEC PHILIPPINES 2015,” Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation, can be seen on the stamp. The theme: “Building Inclusive Economies, Building a Better World” were inscribed on the first day cover envelope.
According to PHLPost, some 101,000 copies of the APEC stamp designed by PHLPost’s creative artist Rodine Teodoro were printed and to be sold at P30 each.
The special stamps will be available until November 9, 2016.
The APEC was founded in November 1989 with Philippines as one of the pioneer member economy. It is a multilateral organization that seeks to foster trade and economic prosperity among its members in the Asia-Pacific region.
