TAGUIG CITY, 5 January (PIA) – The city government of Taguig is all set for this year’s business registration and renewal process with its Business One-Stop-Shop (BOSS) program.
"Once again, we give the business community the VIP treatment they deserve. The taxes they pay help fund our social services, which is very important to our citizens,” Taguig Mayor Lani Cayetano said.
Cayetano noted that business tax collection in the city is at an all-time high this year. “This can be attributed to a lot of factors, like the low tax rates and business-friendly environment of Taguig City,” she added.
The one-stop shop will be operational at the city hall auditorium and satellite office in SM Aura, Bonifacio Global City.
The local chief pointed that BOSS is their commitment to all their investors. She explained that the program also promotes transparency among city hall employees.
“It makes your business application or renewal services fast and accessible,” Cayetano said.
The tremendous increase this year of tax collections from the business permit and licensing fees by the city’s Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO) is the highest in five years.
In return, the city government prepared a business permitting and licensing procedures convenient and efficient to all business owners.
Business owners may also enjoy free massage, film showing, drinks and snacks as they process their license.
The city received from the Office of the Ombudsman a Blue Certification Award which indicates that it passed the anti-graft agency’s anti-red tape standards and its system conformed to the ease of doing business standards. (TAGUIG/RJB/JEG/PIA-NCR)
