DanceMotion USASM, CCP hold dance workshops for PWDs

MANILA, 16 March (PIA) - DanceMotion USASM, in partnership with the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), will conduct dance workshops for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) today, March 16, 2016.

Showcasing the best in contemporary American dance, the workshops will train 30-35 students aged 13-17 years old from the Philippine National School for the Blind and the Philippine School for the Deaf.

DanceMotion USASM is a program of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State, produced by the Brooklyn Academy of Music.

During their visit in the country, from March 12 to March 21, DanceMotion USASM will partner with Manila and regional universities, as well as various artist groups to conduct lectures and workshops for dancers, dance enthusiasts, and Persons with Disabilities.

DanceMotion USASM will also participate in collaborative creative sessions with artists, and offer public performances and artist discussions to facilitate greater communication and understanding.
