QUEZON CITY, 09 March (PIA)--President Benigno S. Aquino III led the grand launch of Novotel Manila Tuesday.
In his speech, President Aquino said the opening of Novotel Manila Araneta Center is very appropriate as the country is enjoying a boom in tourist arrivals, which rose to 7.65 percent for the first half of 2015.
Joining President Aquino during the event were Araneta Group of Companies President and Chairman Jorge L. Araneta, Mr. Patrick Basset, AccorHotels Chief Operating Officer for Upper Southeast and Northeast Asia, AccorHotels VP for Oprerations Paul Stevens, and Mr. Bernd Schneider, General Manager, Novotel Manila Araneta Center.
Located within the Araneta Center, being positioned as Quezon City’s premier lifestyle hub, the 24-story hotel features 401 contemporary rooms and suites, and an executive sky lounge with a 360-degree view of the metropolis.
Bernd Schneider, general manager of Novotel, said the hotel is looking forward to provide their clients with Novotel’s premium brand of service.
Schneider said Novotel is very accessible to all transport systems in Metro Manila. It is more or less 30 minutes from the airport. Moreover, he said it also a few minutes’ walk from light rail transit and metro rail transit stations, bus stops and jeepney terminals to places of interest, such as the Sining Saysay Gallery in Gateway Tower 1, the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Gateway Mall and Ali Mall.
For customers who are art lovers, Schneider said Novotel is just situated near the reopened Kia Theatre (formerly New Frontier Theater), a 2,500-seat indoor music performance and event space.
Foodies will also be delighted because Novotel has two new dining concepts. Food Exchange Manila is a 208-seat contemporary restaurant serving an array of international cuisine, with dishes prepared at live cooking stations.
Meanwhile, the gourmet bar provides refreshing signature drinks or freshly brewed coffee. An interesting feature of the bar is it serves organic produce grown and harvested from a dedicated farm in San Mateo, Rizal.
Schneider said guests at Novotel can pursue their fitness regimen at the In Balance Wellness Center, which includes a gym, spa and swimming pool. The children, meanwhile, can also engage in their physical activities at the Gymboree Kids Area.
Schneider said Novotel is also very capable of hosting meetings, conferences, parties or corporate retreats. “We have a state-of-the-art pillar-less grand ballroom, which can accommodate up to 1,200 guests, six meeting rooms and a boardroom.”
Moreover, Novotel’s 2,500-square-meter landscaped outdoor garden area is excellent for distinct cocktail events, soirées and fashion shows, and ideal for couples seeking to tie the knot in an open and romantic setting with a trellised garden and air-conditioned marquee.
Novotel hotels are in the heart of major international cities, business districts and tourist destinations. It plans to build five hotels in the Philippines.
Schneider said the opening of Novotel in Araneta Center signifies Accor Hotels’ continued expansion in the region and will help Quezon City boosts its reputation as a premier business and tourism hub. (PIA-NCR/RJB/SDL)
