San Juan LGU, PRRC inaugurate ErmitaƱo Creek Linear Park

QUEZON CITY, 31 March (PIA) --- The San Juan Local Government and the Pasig River Rehabilitation Commission (PRRC) recently inaugurated the ErmitaƱo Creek Linear Park in San Juan City last 28 March 2016. 

According to the PRRC, the first phase of ErmitaƱo Creek, also known as the Salapan Creek, is now an Environmental Preservation Area with 210-linear-meter Park. It features electric lighting fixtures, arches, paver blocks, concrete benches and railings. This is part of the construction of 338-linear-meter Linear Park for ErmitaƱo Creek that costs the government Php 11,133,845.73 million.

PRRC also held a series of clean-up activities and deputized its River Patrol Unit to monitor the cleanliness of the area and to lead the community in maintaining the ErmitaƱo Creek.

"To ensure the sustainability of the ErmitaƱo Creek Linear Park Project, PRRC entered into a Deed of Turnover and Acceptance with the Local Government of the City of San Juan and Barangay ErmitaƱo after the unveiling of the historical marker." PRRC stated. (PRRC/RJB/MAPA/PIA-NCR)
