MANILA, June 10 (PIA) – In celebration of the 118th Philippine Independence on June 12, the Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) recently opened its heroes and legends stamp exhibit.
In cooperation with SM malls, framed postage stamps of our national heroes, as well as Filipino living legends like Manny Pacquiao, Beauty queens’ Miss World Megan Young and Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach are among exhibited at the SM City Manila.
The exhibit also features 22 sets of postage stamps depicting the greatness of the Filipino people. It will run until June 16 at SM City Manila activity center.
PHLPost and SM City Manila are encouraging schools near the exhibit venues to view the stamps on display which are miniature markers of milestones, tiny records of historical events and representations of the country’s rich culture.
Meanwhile, a unique presentation of famous places, events and people in postage stamps are also on display at the lobby of SM City San Lazaro which will run until June 16.
