Phl offers condolences, prayers to families of Munich shooting incident

MANILA, July 25 (PIA) – The Philippines offered its condolences and prayers to Germany after a shooting incident in Munich last Friday.    

“The Philippines offers its sincerest condolences and prayers to a grieving nation and to the family and friends of the victims of the shooting in Munich,” the statement from the Department of Foreign Affairs read.

A teenager has killed nine people and injuring 27 more in a shooting spree, from fast food restaurant to a shopping centre.  

Meanwhile, the Philippine Government, through the Philippine Embassy in Berlin, is coordinating with German authorities and monitoring the situation closely.

The Philippine Embassy has also issued an advisory to heed the advise of the police to stay indoors, remain calm, and be vigilant. (DFA/RJB/JEG/PIA-NCR)
