MANILA, Jan. 29 (PIA) -- The Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) advises the public to use the prescribed PHLPost boxes sold at all post offices and postal outlets nationwide.
“We would like to inform the public to use the standard PHLPost boxes in sending their packages at post office counters to make sure that their items or goods are safe and secure,” Postmaster General Joel L. Otarra said.
According to PHLPost, the boxes are intended for mailing and sending of goods anywhere in the country and abroad.
The public may choose from among the seven (7) different ‘standard’ sizes of PHLPost boxes available, depending on the volume of the items sent by the customer.
Said boxes are made of durable materials to ensure that all packages will be received by the addressees in good condition. It also provides markings for proper handling and space for the labels.
Securely wrapping a parcel or packages ensures that the items won't be damaged during transit.
The postal agency would like to avoid incidents of damaged parcels or packages because of improper (poor) wrapping, using weak paper materials.
PHLPost added that the use of standard boxes would provide easy identification and fast sending of goods. (phlpost/epc/jeg/pia-ncr)
