In support of acknowledging children’s rights and responsibilities in the society, the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) initiated and launched an audio visual presentation (AVP) entitled ‘Panatang Makabata’.
This is in celebration of the 27th National Children’s Month with the theme, Karapatang Pambata: Patuloy na Pahalagahan at Gampanan Tungo sa Magandang Kinabukasan, and in commemoration of the 30th year of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Children.
The video was presented while the employees do their pledge during the Monday morning assembly and flag raising ceremony at the PIA Central Office in Quezon City on 4 November 2019.
The launch was followed by a short and rich discussion on children’s rights and protection by the guest speaker from Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC), Mr. Elino Bardillon.
‘Panatang Makabata’ emphasizes the commitment of every Filipino in respecting and helping preserve the rights of every youth no matter what their gender, race, culture, religion, and status in life.
