SK Federation to host 2nd season of Taguig Youthcon's 'ML: BB Tournament'

PARAÑAQUE CITY, Aug. 25 (PIA) -- The Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation of Taguig City, in partnership with the Taguig City Government, will host an online "Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Tournament" as a part of the city’s celebration of this year’s “Linggo ng Kabataan” from August 26 to 29, 2020. 

The Taguig Youthcon 2020, its annual youth event, will be composed of online seminars, games, and raffles just to name a few.

All of the activities will be done online to ensure the safety of the participants, according to organizers.  

Mobile games have been one of the activities that people turned to for entertainment as well as livelihood during the community quarantine brought about by the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Following the success of e-sports at the 30th South East Asian Games held in the Philippines the previous year, the Taguig Youthcon also adopted the concept and has been hosting its Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournament for its second season. 

According to a post in Taguig Youthcon 2020’s Facebook page a team playing ML must be comprised of participants within a barangay.  

Players must stay at their own homes throughout the duration of the games and must not congregate. Teams who will violate the rule will be disqualified.  

This tournament is open to all Taguig residents who are 15-30 years old, the post said. (PIA-NCR)
