PASIG CITY, June 24 (PIA) -- The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) announced the implementation of "degraded" train operations until July 4, 2021 in preparation to its extension project opening.
“To facilitate the migration works and testing of the signaling system in preparation for the opening of the East Extension Project, LRT-2 will implement degraded operations and full closure/stop.”
According to LRTA, the degraded operations will be on June 23, 24, 25, 28, 29, 30 and on July 1 and 2, 2021. Train service on these dates will be from Recto station to Cubao station and vice-versa only. The first train trip will at 5 p.m. and last trip will be at 8 p.m. (Cubao) and 9 p.m. (Recto).
Meanwhile, there will be no operations on weekends, June 26, 27 and July 3, 4.
The LRTA administration said buses will be available via Metro Manila Bus Route 9 (Antipolo to Cubao) and Route 10 (Cubao to Doroteo Jose).
