CALOOCAN CITY, (PIA) -- Jeepney drivers belonging to the Novaliches-Malinta Jeepney Transport Service Cooperative (NMJTSC) have received their P25,000 incentive from the Service Contracting Program of the government.
"Thank you very much for the P25,000 incentive from the service contracting program," the drivers unanimously expressed in thanking the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), the project proponents.
In turn, both agencies, thanked the drivers in Facebook post.
"Big thanks to the jeepney passenger drivers from Novaliches-Malinta Jeepney Transport Service Cooperative (NMJTSC) for their assistance," the LTFRB shared.
According to the drivers, the cash shared as a benefit of the program is a huge help to their families.
Most of their drivers have already received PhP25,000 one-time onboarding incentive, the LTFRB said.
According to DOTr Sec. Art Tugade, this program aims to give our fellow drivers extra income in the midst of a pandemic, while ensuring that passengers can be provided with quality services. (PIA NCR)
