QUEZON CITY, (PIA) -- Good news! PhilSys is now open and ready to serve residents of Metro Manila East with its opening at the Robinsons Metro East.
Registration for the National ID is open from Mondays to Fridays, from 8:00AM to 5:00PM at the Level 4, Lingkod Pinoy Center of the Robinsons Mall.
The first 150 registrants will be accommodated per day. Applicants are advised to wait for the advise of your Barangay representatives for the schedule. Only those with appointments for the day will be accommodated.

Applicants are also advised to follow guidelines:
1. Follow the proper dress code
- No wearing of slippers
- No wearing of shorts
- No wearing sando/sleeveless
2. Always practice the minimum health protocols
- Wearing of face mask and face shield
- Maintain social distancing
- Washing of hands / use of alcohol
PhilSys or the Philippine Identification System Act, aims to establish a single national identification system for all citizens and resident aliens of the Republic of the Philippines.
Signed into law by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte in August 2018, the valid proof of identity provided by the PhilSys shall be a means of simplifying public and private transactions, and shall be a social and economic platform that promotes seamless social service delivery and strengthening of financial inclusion for both public and private services.
The PhilSys project also emphasizes inclusive coverage, enabling access to the most vulnerable groups such as the poor, people living in geographically-isolated and disadvantaged areas, indigenous peoples, and persons with disabilities.
Built on a Privacy-by-Design principle, the PhilSys will adopt the latest technologies and innovations in the implementation of the project underscoring the importance of privacy of individuals and security of information under the system. (PIA-NCR)
