PASIG CITY, (PIA) -- The National Capital Region Police Office
(NCRPO) assured the safety and security of Metro Manila this summer season.
NCRPO chief Police Major General Felipe R. Natividad announced its
operational readiness, with 1,459 police officers to be deployed in different
places of convergence, 60 in tourist destinations, 55 in areas with road
construction, with 10,727 additional force multipliers, and 257 in
transportation hubs and terminals.
“No threat was reported,
monitored and identified but rest assured that we shall still employ the
highest possible preparation to ensure the safety and security of Metro Manila,”
said Natividad.
He added that the NCRPO aims to ensure the safety of malls, streets,
neighborhood and other places of convergence to guarantee that Metro Manila
will be peaceful and orderly this summer season amid the pandemic. (NCRPO/PIA-NCR)
