CALOOCAN CITY, (PIA) -- Manila Mayor Maria Sheila “Honey” Lacuna- Pangan has approved the social amelioration program (SAP) that will aid all public senior high school (SHS), Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM), and Unibersidad de Manila (UdM) students.
“And bawat estudyante ng PLM at UdM ay makatatangap ng P1,000 at ang bawat SHS student naman ay makatatanggap ng P500 kada buwan para sa buwan ng Mayo at Hunyo (Each student of PLM and UdM will receive P1,000 each while SHS student will receive P500 per month for the months of May and June,” Lacuna said.
“Ito po ay bahagi ng ating social amelioration program na may kabuuang badyet na halos 117 milyong piso na naglalayong makapagbigay ng tulong pinansyal sa mga kabataang Maynila na nagsisikap sa kanilang pag-aaral (This is part of our social amelioration program which has a P117 million budget which aims to provide financial assistance to the youth of Manila who are striving in their studies),” she added.
The mayor reminded the beneficiaries to continue persevering in their studies and to always follow their parents. She gave assurance that the city government will continue to create and roll out programs for the improvement of the lives of every Manileño. (PIA-NCR)
