Quezon City (PIA) — “Wala nang ‘sana all’,” according to the Muntinlupa City Government.

(No more, “I wish I had that.”)

The Muntinlupa City government will give out Balik Eskwela Package to 98,000 daycare to grade 12 public students before the opening of classes on July 29, 2024.

The Balik Eskwela Package includes a school bag, notebooks, pencils or pens, pad paper, and crayons. In addition, daycare to grade 6 children will have blue and white MUNwalk sneakers, while students in Grades 7 to 12 will receive black sneakers. Students in Child Development Centers will be given a school bag, notebooks, pencils, crayons, and a tumbler.

“We are committed to supporting our students and ensuring they have the resources they need to succeed. By providing these high-quality sneakers and school supplies, we aim to ease the financial burden on families and boost student morale,” Muntinlupa City Mayor Ruffy Biazon.

Last school year, the city government gave children black leather shoes and school materials. Mayor Biazon noted that the transition to sneakers this year was decided because many children still had functional leather shoes from the previous year, and parents requested sneakers that could be utilized in physical education classes.

“We believe that by providing these essential items, we are not only helping our students academically but also contributing to their overall well-being. These sneakers are practical and stylish, ensuring our students feel confident and ready for the school year ahead,” Mayor Biazon added.

This effort by the Muntinlupa City Government shows a profound dedication to the future of its young citizens. By addressing educational and practical needs, they are providing resources and creating an environment in which every student can succeed. With these mindful gestures, we move closer to a community where no child needs to say, ‘sana all (I wish I had that).’ Instead, every student can confidently enter the school year, knowing they are prepared and empowered to reach their full potential. (GLDG/PIA-NCR)
