MANDALUYONG CITY, (PIA) — A new and better facility will soon rise in Mandaluyong City to provide even more specialized medical and psychological care to individuals with mental health conditions.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), through the Metro Manila 1st District Engineering Office, implemented the construction of Multi-Purpose Building (Emergency Complex) located at the National Center for Mental Health in Mauway, Mandaluyong City.

According to the DPWH, the two-storey facility with a roof deck will provide a targeted, and evidence-based treatment facility, tailored to improving the patient’s health conditions and quality of life.

The building features comfortable spaces with fully air-conditioned rooms, well-ventilated areas, and a fire protection system – providing both comfort, and a haven for mental health patients, and their families.

Moreover, the DPWH said the new facility is ready for operations in the first quarter of 2025. (JEG/PIA-NCR)
