QUEZON CITY, (PIA) — The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has temporarily allowed provincial buses to traverse Epifanio Delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) in anticipation of the expected increase in passengers returning to their provinces to observe Undas this year.

Starting October 29 until 5:00 a.m. on Monday, November 4, provincial buses will be permitted to operate along EDSA throughout the day.

According to MMDA Chairman Don Artes, this initiative is part of their Oplan Undas 2024, designed to ensure a smooth and efficient travel experience for passengers taking provincial buses back to their hometowns.

Provincial buses coming from North Luzon will be allowed to stop at terminals in Cubao, Quezon City, while those originating from South Luzon may stop at the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) and Pasay.

The MMDA aims to facilitate a swift and continuous flow of transportation during the busy Undas season. (GLDG/PIA-NCR)
