PH Navy, National Museum sign partnership for maritime history

MANILA, (PIA) — Promoting and preserving maritime history, the Philippine Navy and the National Museum of the Philippines recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU).

Navy Flag Officer in Command, Vice Admiral Jose Ma. Ambrosio Q. Ezpeleta PN and National Museum of the Philippines (NMP) Director-General, Jeremy Barns, CESO III, signed the MOU held at the Navy Headquarters in Manila.

We know that we can do our part to help strengthen our Philippine Navy and really promote the importance of our Navy and its heritage to our people, our friends, partners, and allies around the world,” said Barns.

Likewise, Vice Admiral Ezpeleta expressed his gratitude to the National Museum of the Philippines for its shared commitment to advancing the nation’s maritime interests and aspirations.

The MOU opens opportunities for the Philippine Navy to enhance its expertise in preserving historical naval sites, artifacts, and maritime and underwater archaeological locations. (JEG/PIA-NCR)
