MANILA (PIA) — In line with the upcoming 49th ASEAN Summit from November 16 to 18, the City Government of Pasay has announced temporary road closures in some parts of the city.
In an announcement posted on the Pasay City Public Information Office Facebook page, partial road closures are set from October 24 to November 9, while total road closures will be implemented from November 9 to 20, 2026.
According to the city government, activities to be temporarily prohibited include fun runs, public activities, events, and gatherings within the surroundings of the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), Roxas Blvd., and other affected areas to ensure traffic management, public security, and safety.
Motorists and commuters are advised to avoid passing through Macapagal Boulevard, World Trade Center area, Diokno Boulevard, and parts of Roxas Boulevard due to expected heavy traffic that may cause travel delays.
Likewise, as part of the preparations and security measures for the Summit, designated bus lanes will be temporarily converted into ASEAN Lanes to prioritize the passage of official vehicles and delegations participating in the event.
The public is also advised to allot sufficient travel time, use alternative routes, and follow the instructions of authorized personnel to avoid inconvenience.
Meanwhile, employees working within the affected areas may be permitted to enter or pass through upon presentation of their valid Company ID, in accordance with the security policies in place. (JEG/PIA-NCR)
