New PNP chief urges all personnel to do small good deeds daily

QUEZON CITY, 22 July (PIA) – Newly-installed chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Director General Ricardo C. Marquez urged all officers and personnel of the national police force to do at least one good deed daily.

Marquez emphasized the importance of collective efforts by means of doing a small good deed everyday from the 160,000 Uniformed and Non-Uniformed personnel of the PNP.

The PNP chief also reiterated his instructions of going back to basics of policing which is patrolling, review of disciplinary mechanism, continuous work on the morale and welfare of the PNP personnel, immediate submission of outstanding accomplishments, and review of policies in placement and promotion.

“We will push a legacy to the ground, more personnel on the ground, because first and foremost that is our job,” Marquez said.

He also expressed high hopes for the organization by rebuilding the PNP and making it even stronger to further contribute to nation building.

“That is why I’ll call again from members of the organization, to rally behind my leadership so that we can show to the people that the PNP has a good future to look forward to,” Marquez added. (PNP/RJB/JEG/PIA-NCR)
