PNP celebrates Police Community Relations Month, awards deserving PNP units, personnel

QUEZON CITY, June 30 (PIA) –The Philippine National Police (PNP) awarded and recognized deserving personnel, PNP offices, units, personnel and private individuals in line with the celebration of its 20th Police Community Relations Month in July.

PNP Officer-in-Charge, Police Deputy Director Leonardo A. Espina led the awarding and recognition event with Liga ng Barangay sa Pilipinas National President Atty. Edmund R. Abesamis as Guest of Honor and Speaker in Camp Crame, Quezon City Monday.

The awarding aims to recognize those who have initiated “Best Practices” that promoted and strengthened police-community partnership and greatly contributed to the over-all peace and development initiatives to their respective areas of responsibility.

Meanwhile, the PNP will also conduct different activities and seminars such as: Gender Awareness and Sensitivity Training, Development Communications Net General Assembly for Government Agency, Seminar on Development, 5th Summit for High School Writers, Mobile Passport Processing, Advance Social Media and Citizen’s Media Training Workshop, and others in line with the month-long observance.

The month of July has been declared as Police Community Relations Month in accordance with Presidential Proclamation No. 764. The theme for this year’s observance is: “Matibay na Ugnayan ng Mamamayan at Pulisya, Simbolo ng Kapayapaan at Kaunlaran ng Sambayanan.” (PNP/RJB/JEG/PIA-NCR)
