QUEZON CITY, (PIA) -- The Municipality of Pateros will offer free reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) swab tests at the newly renovated MR Flores Health Center as part of its COVID-19 prevention and mitigation efforts.
The free RT-PCR tests for residents are available Mondays to Fridays from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., announced Mayor Miguel Ponce III in a live broadcast over the weekend.
The health center, inaugurated on Tuesday, also provides free antigen COVID-19 test to economic front-liners who need them in their workplaces.
The new health center is likewise equipped with hemodialysis apparatus that residents can use for free.
During the same live broadcast, Ponce urged residents to avail of free COVID-19 vaccines, as well as booster shots, and reminded adherence to minimum public health standards.
Also, with the start of the local campaign period, he hoped people who will join campaign sorties are already vaccinated against COVID-19 and will wear masks.
“There are still many countries experiencing the continuous spread of the COVID-19 virus. Let’s keep safe,” Ponce said. (PIA-NCR)
