National Museum reopens; museum guidelines set for visitors

PASIG CITY, June 21 (PIA) -- The National Museum of the Philippines recently reopened, in time for the commemoration of the 160th birth anniversary of our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal.

With the reopening of the museum following the recent approval of the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, the National Museum has set guidelines for museum visitors.

Persons aged 15 years old and above are allowed to visit the museum. Senior citizens who are fully vaccinated will also be allowed entry at the museum provided that Vaccination Card must be presented. Likewise, persons with disabilities (PWDs) are welcome at the museum. Visitors are required to present a valid ID with their birthdate.

Upon entry in each building, a temperature scan will be required. Persons with a temperature of 37.5 and above will not be admitted. Likewise, persons with COVID-19 symptoms will not be permitted entry.

Museum visitors must fill out a health declaration form before entry which can also be done online through StaySafePh mobile app.

Face masks and face shields must also be worn at all times within the museums and social distancing of at least two meters between persons not belonging to the same household must be observed at all times.

Visiting schedule is every Tuesdays to Sundays, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (AM session), cut off time is at 11 a.m. and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. (PM session), cut off time is at 3 p.m.

Visitors shall be limited to 100 persons only, per museum per session.

Visitors are required to pre-book online at https://reservation.nationalmuseum.gov.ph at least a day before the visit. Confirmation of booking will be sent through email.

Group reservations are limited to five (5) persons only.

The National Museum also advises the public that walk-in visitors will not be accommodated. (PIA NCR)
