It can be injected into the upper arm or buttocks of a woman. The contraceptive shot should be injected every 2 to 3 months, depending on the brand, because a woman can get pregnant again once the injectable expires.
It is also very accessible since it is readily available at any public health centers, private clinics, women’s health clinics and administered by trained service providers.
