MANILA, (PIA) — Good news! The historic Intramuros has been crowned as Asia’s Leading Tourist Attraction in the World Travel Awards for 2024.
Acclaimed as Asia’s premier world city destination, Intramuros’ achievement is a testament of our rich history and vibrant culture.
The Philippines recently hosted for the first time the 31st World Travel Awards 2024. The prestigious travel and tourism awards.
According to the Department of Tourism (DOT), among the accolades, the country was named Asia’s Leading Dive Destination for the sixth consecutive year and Asia’s Leading Beach Destination and Asia’s Leading Island Destination.
Some of the top destinations in the Philippines were also celebrated, including Boracay, named Asia’s Leading Luxury Island Destination, and Cebu, named Asia’s Leading Wedding Destination.
The World Travel Awards was established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all key sectors of the travel, tourism and hospitality industries. (JEG/PIA-NCR)
