NCRPO ensures 24/7 security this Holy Week

QUEZON CITY, (PIA) — The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) ensures the public strict 24/7 security coverage this Holy Week.

According to NCRPO chief PMGen Anthony A. Aberin PMGen Aberin underscored the importance of vigilance during this period.

The NCRPO is significantly increasing our visible presence and our overall vigilance to ensure a peaceful and secure observance for everyone.

We have ordered for a 24/7 strict and flexible security coverage for Metro Manila during the Holy Week. I expect every police officer’s commitment to their assigned tasks,” said Aberin, mobilizing 10,000 police officers in Metro Manila.

Aberin assured a strong police presence at 300 churches, along major roads managing traffic, at transport hubs, in malls and business centers, at parks and recreational spaces within Metro Manila.

To further boost security, NCRPO has deployed 286 officers at entry points, 647 at checkpoints, and 2,068 officers on foot patrol in crucial zones. Mobile and motorcycle patrols with 1,993 units that will enhance responsiveness, while covert Red Teams (201 members) will conduct discreet security assessments.

Likewise, a total of 1,334 police personnel from the Reactionary Standby Support Force (RSSF) are also on alert for any immediate needs.

The NCRPO chief also appealed to the public to be proactive to ensure their safety as well as the safety in their communities.

Travelers are likewise reminded to check on their vehicles and to ensure the security of their homes and property and be mindful of what you share on social media. In public spaces, stay alert and report any unusual activity to the nearest police officer. (JEG/PIA-NCR)
