QUEZON CITY, June 11 (PIA) -- The Gerald Anderson Foundation in cooperation with the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) K9 Group successfully held on Sunday, (July 10)"Tails of Rescue", a dog fun run in Eastwood City.
Anderson became involved with the PCG because of his advocacy and was recently appointed as a lieutenant of the PCG Auxiliary force.
Together with his father, brother, and the rest of the Gerald Anderson Foundation team, they underwent trainings with the PCG and are now officially part of the PCG Auxiliary K9 Special Support Squadron.
Both Anderson and the PCG aim to raise awareness on the importance of dogs during emergencies and disasters, and hopes to visit barangays to help people in training their dogs or teach them safety drills.
