Munti LGU receives ISO 9001:2008 re-certification, citation from DOH-NCR

QUEZON CITY, 20 September (PIA) --- The Muntinlupa local government unit (LGU) recently received ISO 9001:2008 on Quality Management for the second consecutive year, and citation from Department of Health (DOH) on sanitary program best practices. According to Muntinlupa public information office statement, BRS Rim of the World Operations conferred the re-certification to the City Government, Ospital ng Muntinlupa, and Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa on September 19 at Muntinlupa City Hall, Putatan. The local government met the requirements of the regulations in the implementation of the certification and passed the surveillance audit on its processes and activities conducted by BRS last July 21-22. Muntinlupa Mayor Jaime Fresnedi encouraged the government employees to continue providing excellent services for the people to prove that the organization deserves the re-certification. In addition, Brgy. Poblacion was commended by the DOH-NCR for its programs on sanitation and environmental protection. DOH-NCR hailed the local barangay as winner in the 8th Regional Search for Barangay with Best Sanitation Practices. The agency recognized the unrelenting efforts to showcase best practices on sanitation specifically on water supply, sanitary toilet facilities and other local initiatives. Brgy.
