MANILA, April 25 (PIA) – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) announced the closure of selected consular offices in Metro Manila.
In an advisory, the following consular offices will be closed on said dates: DFA Aseana (April 27 to 29), and DFA NCR West located at SM Manila on April 28.
According to DFA, passport applicants with confirmed appointments at DFA NCR-West can be accommodated at their original selected site, at the time indicated in their appointment schedule from 02 May to 31 May 2017, Mondays to Saturdays.
Passport applicants with confirmed appointments at DFA Aseana can also be accommodated at their original selected site, at the time indicated in their appointment schedule from 02 May to 31 May 2017, Mondays to Fridays.
However, DFA advises passport applicants that passport services are charged at P1,200 as these services are rendered beyond regular office hours.
Applicants whose passports are scheduled for release on the said dates shall be accommodated on the next working day.
Meanwhile, all other DFA Passport issuing offices will continue operations as normal.
Applicants for the Authentication of Documents (Red Ribbon) with documents issued by other government agencies (CHED, TESDA, NBI, etc.) due for claiming at ASEANA on the said dates may claim said documents on 02 May 2017.
Malacañang earlier issued Memorandum Circular No. 18 declaring work suspension on specified dates and locations in connection with the Philippine’s hosting of the 30th ASEAN Summit in Manila. (DFA/RJB/JEG/PIA-NCR)
