MAKATI, April 10 (PIA) -- España Boulevard in Manila is set to undergo reblocking and road repairs this summer, according to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).
Jojo Garcia, Acting MMDA General Manager, said contractors of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will begin their road repairs starting next weekend, April 13-16, and will continue the following weekends until May 18-21.
One segment per lane along Espana Boulevard-westbound from Vicente G. Cruz to Arsenio H. Lacson Street will be closed to vehicular traffic at 10 pm on Fridays.
“Affected lane will be fully passable by 5 am on Mondays,” Garcia said.
The MMDA Traffic Engineering Center said the entire road work will cover 166 meters stretch of Espana Boulevard.
Motorists are advised to avoid the said area and use alternative routes instead.
