QUEZON CITY, (PIA) -- Starting today, March 1, the LRT-1 will operate at 100 percent (100%) passenger capacity as Metro Manila is now placed under Alert Level 1.
According to the Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC), due to the more lenient alert level, the LRT line 1 can now accommodate an average of 1,200 passengers per train set.
The management reminds train passengers that the ‘No face mask, no entry’ policy will still be implemented. Temperature check will be conducted upon entry. Those with temperature above 37.6 Celsius will not be allowed to enter the station.
Talking and eating inside the train are prohibited. Commuters are reminded to refrain from having conversation, taking or making a phone call, and eating while inside the train.
Passenger are encouraged to use stored value cards for a safer and more convenient travel.
Metro Manila or the National Capital Region is placed under Alert Level 1 until March 15, 2022. (LRMC/PIA-NCR)
