MANILA, (PIA) — President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. stressed that health is a right of every Filipino and not a privilege.

During the launching and turnover of 28 Bagong Pilipinas mobile clinics held Friday at the Manila North Harbor, he stressed that health is a right of every Filipino.

(This is for you, for every Filipino. In every barangay, in every island waiting for help. Health is a right, not a privilege. And with each progress of the mobile clinic, we make sure that every Filipino feels it.)

The President explained that the mobile clinics would be a big help in providing immediate medical services to Filipinos, especially those in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas (GIDA).

(Through mobile clinics and with the help of the local government, we hope to bring medical services closer to areas that have long needed more attention, the geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas.)

The 28 mobile clinics that will be distributed to the different provinces in Mindanao, are equipped with an x-ray machine, ultrasound, laboratory equipment, and other equipment vital for early diagnosis.

He also called on the support of local government units to bring medical services, through the mobile clinic, closer to areas that need immediate attention.

Likewise, the President underscored that the administration aims to ensure that every Filipino should experience a sense of well-being regarding their health. (JEG/PIA-NCR)
